Guidelines for Participation and Registration
Who can participate?
- Any girl of appropriate age for the activity
- $12 National Girl Scout membership required
- Due to limited space, please make other arrangements for Tag-Alongs.

Inclement Weather
- In the event of inclement weather, call the Program hotline at (757) 547-4405 or (800) 777-2688
- Decisions to cancel an activity will be made no later than three hours prior to the scheduled time
Adult Leadership
- When you check your girl(s) in, the adult in charge will let you know if you are free to leave and return later or if it will be necessary for you to stay on-site.
- You will be asked to leave a phone number where you can be reached during the activity. If you are not able to provide a number, you will be asked to remain on-site.
- For troop trips, leaders are responsible for permission slips, health forms and ensuring adult supervision according to Safety-Wise standards.
Payments
- Financial assistance is available for any girl unable to pay the cost of a council sponsored event. To apply, complete a Girl Opportunity Fund Application and submit with registration form and a $5 deposit.
- Cookie and program activity credit may be used for council sponsored activities only.
- Full refunds, less a 10% processing fee per girl, per activity will be available no later than 10 business days prior to the activity date. Refund requests must be made in writing. No fees will be refunded after the registration deadline. No refunds for “no-shows”.
